For those of you who haven't heard the news, that bread-and-butter of the minivan segment, the Chrysler Town & Country, is leaving.
Chrysler is trying to invigorate the bland segment with a sportier, more exciting van that might just make you forget every "mom car" stereotype. That minivan is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
The lead designer on the Pacifica was social media-savvy Ralph Gilles, who got to architect the van's platform from scratch to give it a more dynamic foundation.
So dynamic it could be brought to track?
Out at dinner, and apparently over a nice glass of red wine, Gilles sketched out his Pacifica with huge racing wheels, a spoiler, and dramatic air intakes (and of course a helmeted driver).
The response to this Instagram gag has been surprisingly positive, with many commenters saying yes to a "Pacifica Hellcat."
Stranger things have happened.
