What does it take for a vehicle to make Ward's coveted 10 Best Interiors list?

Drew Winter, Editor-in-Chief of WardsAuto World, summed it up this way in welcoming the 2013 Ram Laramie Longhorn to this year's coveted winning lineup:

"If Bentley made a pickup truck, this is what the cabin would look like."

From an instrument cluster "that looks like a fine chronograph," to heated seats all around … even the "natural-looking" wood trim, Winter praised the overall workmanship and quality found throughout the interior of the Ram Laramie Longhorn, also noting other amenities too numerous to mention, such as all-new HVAC controls and new multimedia systems, plenty of soft-to-the-touch surfaces, the exclusive eight-speed transmission paired with a breakthrough e-shift rotary dial, and an award-winning 8.4-inch Uconnect system.

Forty-six contenders vied for the prestigious award this year. Only 10 were selected from the field of all-new or significantly upgraded 2013 and 2014 models.

Capturing Ward's 10 Best Interiors honors for the 2013 Ram 1500 reflects a focus on integrating new features and technology into an already best-in-class interior, said Klaus Busse, Head of Chrysler Group Interior Design.

"We've added unique materials and richer colors to give Ram customers a premium feel while staying true to the hardy nature of a Ram truck."
